Where can I volunteer to help with the Parade?
Hundreds of dedicated volunteers help make the Parade a success. If you or your company is interested in volunteering, you can contact the volunteer coordinator click here.

What should I bring to the Parade?
Depending on the weather, don’t forget to dress warm. Blankets and folding chairs are allowed on the Parade route.

When should I arrive to get a good view?
We recommend you arrive by 11:00 a.m. to get a good spot along the route.

Do I have to pay to attend the Parade?
No, the Atlanta St. Patrick’s Parade is a free event open to the public.

How long does the Parade last?
One and a half hours at any given point.

Which streets will be closed for the Parade?

Is the Parade a rain or shine event?
Yes. The Parade will go on rain or shine with the exception of extreme and dangerous weather conditions.

Is there a dress code for volunteers?
We provide an Atlanta St. Patrick’s Parade T-shirt to be worn over your own clothing. You will receive this on Parade Day at check-in. You will also receive a “Parade Volunteer” Safety Vest which will be collected following the parade for use next year.

Name three things I’ll wish I’d brought with me to volunteer on Parade day.
This would depend on the weather. For a cold day, you’ll want to bring a warm hat, warm gloves, and warm shoes. For a sunny day, you’ll want to bring sunglasses, suntan lotion, and a hat. Remember – the parade goes on rain, shine or snow.

How long will volunteers be needed on Parade Day?
We ask that all parade volunteers check in at the Headquarters Tent at 9:00 AM. The Parade begins at Noon. Your volunteer commitment will end about 1:30 PM.

Where should volunteers park?
You are on your own with parking. MARTA is a GREAT ALTERNATIVE! The Arts Center Station is a short block from the Headquarters Tent.

On parade day, where do volunteers check-in?
At 9:00 AM on parade day, all volunteers should arrive at the Parade Headquarters Tent at 1439 Peachtree which is between 17th St and West Peachtree St.  The Headquarters staff will check you in, answer any last minute questions, and assist with getting you to your designated volunteer location.
